AnswersQ: I am clicking on the play button, but nothing is happening? A: If nothing happens when you try to play a lesson, you have a pop-up blocker turned on. If you need help in turning off the pop-up blocker, please download the pop-up blocker PDF Q: I just get a blank screen when I play a lesson? A: Adobe shockwave and our WorkshopLive shockwave xtras must be installed. Be sure your pops up blockers are disabled. If you have not installed these programs please go to our install page and install these programs. If you have already tried to install these programs they may not have installed completely, for instructions on how to uninstall/reinstall shockwave, please download the appropriate PDF below.
PC Q: I can't login; it just brings me back to the login screen. A: You are using some kind of internet security program which is prohibiting our cookie. Please check to see if you are using Norton or McAfee security suite and add our site (WorkshopLive.com) to the safe list. If you are using IE7 you must ad Workhoplive.com to your trusted sites found in Internet Options, security and to the allow cookies setting under Privacy - Advanced button. Q: The lessons are slow and choppy, how can I make them faster? A: Because of the high quality of our lesson videos, you will need a lot of bandwidth to play them. Every ISP has fluxuation with their bandwidth so sometimes the videos make be slow and choppy. If that happens you can switch to a progressive format. A progressive format will buffer a portion of the lesson on your hard drive, before it starts playing. So when you do play the lesson, you are playing it from your hard drive, so the lessons will run normally. We recommend that you first test your connection speeds, they can vary drastically from hour to hour. Click on this link to run a speed test check. We recommend the progressive download versions for any connection speed under 756 kbps. Now play a lesson! Q: I sometimes get a shockwave error when trying to play a lesson? A: A shockwave error occurs when the animated graphic file that is used in the lesson is not completely downloaded to your system. This can be due to occasional packet loss in your internet connection or you may be out of room in your temporary internet cache files. Try logging out, closing your browser and then come back in and try the lesson again. If the problem persists, you may want to increase the size of your temporary internet cache memory. Open your browser and go to Tools - Internet Options - Temporary internet cache memory disk storage. It the problem still persists, please contact chat support to report the problem. Q: Can I use AOL to play the lessons? A: AOL is not recommended to play our lessons. AOL ís proprietary security software also will block the correct installation of shockwave. We recommend that you do not use the AOL browser when accessing our site to install software or to play the lessons. Please use IE/Firefox MAC- Safari/Firefox Q: How do I turn off my pop-up blockers?

It is all there for you when you want it. |
