I hope you got your blues shoes with you 'cause today we're gonna check out a tune you've probably heard before, but when you find out more, you'll probably realize you really haven't. "When the Levee Breaks" was originally recorded in 1929 by a husband and wife duo, Kansas City Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie. The song was about the Great Mississippi Flood in 1927, which wiped out Greenville Mississippi. And guess what? Robert Plant wasn't even born yet! That's right Led Zeppelin covered this one too and added a very cool spin as they were known to do. In fact here's today's blue stumper. Zeppelin was famous for drummer John Bonham's mammoth sound, and on their recording of When the Levee Breaks, how did he achieve that thunderous drum sound? The answer is comin' at ya, But now let's get on with it, so grab your hip boots and let's wade on in!...aw that's so bad.
