Some of the National Guitar Workshop's outstanding jazz faculty and authors offer the world's most in-depth collection of jazz guitar lessons at WorkshopLive.com. Topics range from basic chords, scales and arpeggios to chord/melody, chordal planning, quartal harmonies and "Lenny Breau-style" harmonics.

Most Internet sites offer up random lessons that have nothing to do with one another. In stark contrast, all WorkshopLive's courses are designed from start to finish before a single lesson is created. This enables us to offer every lesson multiple times, taught by multiple teachers so that WorkshopLive members can choose their teachers. Plus, anyone who completes and digests every jazz guitar lesson in the course has received the most thorough training possible, without the gaps that would result from the haphazard collection of lessons available elsewhere on the Internet.

Our interactive lesson player includes animated guitar music (or guitar tabs if you prefer) and an animated guitar, graphics, printable exercises, backing tracks to jam along with and high-quality video.

The total curriculum, which is being updated constantly, includes about eight years worth of jazz guitar lessons. Starting at the beginning level and going through advanced improvisational and harmonic concepts, the WorkshopLive jazz guitar curriculum is our crown jewel. Teachers so far include Jody Fisher, Mark Dziuba, Tom Dempsey and Amanda Monaco.
