Keyboard Lessons With Amy Rosser
Amy's keyboard lessons are ideal for students who are new to the piano. She explains every subject clearly and supplements her lessons with examples from well-known tunes, which makes them easy and fun to follow.

At the absolute beginner level, Amy starts with demonstrating good posture, hand and finger position, and the layout of the keyboard. She explains pitch and the musical alphabet, rhythm and note values, time signatures, treble and bass clef, advanced dynamic markings and other common musical terms. The lessons continue with finger warm-ups, discussing melodic and harmonic 2nds, 3rds, 4ths and 5ths, and an explanation of ties, slurs and phrases, dotted notes, and accidentals. Amy discusses scales and key signatures and the circle of 5ths, chords and inversions, pick-ups and incomplete measures, and relative major and minor.
